God Gave Me You

new Dave Barnes video :)

flowers, headbands, and small group

Spring is here to stay :) Flowers have caused an uncomfortable yellow covering on everything, but it's worth it! With flowers in our hearts we made cute headbands in small group, thanks B! Small group days are coming to an end way to fast... two of the best years we could ask for, love love love Bonnie & Leigh! I'm such a kid... never want things to change... esp. if it means growing up!

"Dying you destroyed our death. Rising you restored my soul!"

My beautiful Easter weekend started at Passion City Church w/ Kelly! Ran into the engaged couple... precious friends. Sat with camp friends... blessing. Sang my heart out... Savior I come. Heard more stories about Haiti... heart still breaking. Saw the boys before leaving Alpheretta... swing dance flips in parking lot. Drove another hour... home sweet home!
Saturday was perfect. Hammock in the backyard w/ sis. Joy ride in brother's new convertible. Rock climbing at a friend's gym in PTC w/ some of my brother and friends. Dinner with the whole family +2. Ice cream was the topping on a beautiful day.
Sunday we celebrated our Risen Savior! :) Lunch at Grandma's... all the siblings outside on the patio. . .

heart hurting.

Last weekend I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting B's mom, who is doing disaster recovery in Port-au-Prince, Haiti! It was a whirlwind trip and a heartbreaking drive through the streets of this torn city. These are are a few of the pictures I was able to take Saturday 27, 2010! There was a feeling of helplessness that came over us for these precious people! Hope doesn't seem to be around the corner... a long road stretches out in front of the Haitian people...

(this young mother let us hold her baby and was not quick to take her back... implying that she wanted us to take care of her... So hard!)

(they have nowhere to wash clothes and are living life on the streets or in their tents, made form sheets and tarps... while the rains are coming!)

(this precious boy was wearing a Hannah Montana shirt and his eyes tell a sad story)

(taken from the car... she is looking out for hope)

(wondering the busy intersection this little one wanted to wash our windows)
