prayer=the air I breathe

"If I gave praise and thanksgiving for the rest of my days... it would be appropriate."

A prayer retreat in South Carolina with my Dad, brothers, and cousin was on the agenda last weekend. I had asked off work for a camping trip on the coast of south Georgia and was disappointed when it fell through. I was silly and unaware that God wanted to have a weekend date with me... me?... seriously? My heart is full and I'm still learning to be quiet and just listen (without being distracted). "Savior I come... quiet my soul!" I learned from several wise men and women of the faith who have spent years waiting on the Lord and serving Him. It was encouraging to see their faithfulness.

I met some great new friends and got to spend time with my brothers & Daddy!

the perfect college house

So I fell in love with the cutest house/ backyard on Thursday night. A dream house for 3 college girls ... watch out... I just might steal it! Living in an apartment seems dull after spending time in this house. The backyard was beyond picture perfect with a little pond (fish included), a rope swing, a porch (not connected to the house with a wall, but nothing on the other side... complete with a tin roof and plumbing that "makes it rain"), and a swing on the porch. My heart was happy.

The house made me think back to reading the 3rd book in the Anne of Green Gables series. When she attended college with her girl friends they lived in a cute house close to campus. They rented the house for their senior year from two elderly women who took a year to travel in Europe. Ever since I read this book as a teenager I've wanted to live in a cute house for my senior year of college! Well... do I still want to live an a cute house with an adorable backyard? YES Please! Who's in? :)

Meet Baby Lola

so they say...

Wrecks occur within five miles of your house.
The same goes for flat tires.
I guess it's time for me to move.

Some super nice girls stopped to help me change my flat on the way back to my apartment after spring break. I was lost without the help. Learning how to change a tire is essential. A guy friend told me that as long as I live in Georgia there should be no reason for me to ever have to change a tire... he's got favors to call in so I'll have to let a guy help me next time. I laughed. "You think I'm kiddin'....!?!?" Said with a southern gentleman's drawl.

Vail

My brother and I jumped on a flight to Eagle, the airport in Vail, for a short Spring Break trip! A good friend provided transportation, a place to stay, and ski/snowboard deals! Colorado was on my list of states to see before I graduate and what better way to see it then with a good friend! :) It was absolutely beautiful, with 8 inches of fresh powder falling on our first night!
