Lead Me to the Cross

The weeks leading up to Easter I was so encouraged and blessed by Beth Moore's book "Jesus, One and Only." I've been reading it this semester with girls from my small group. God's timing is perfect, we ended up reading about the crucifixion the week leading up to Easter... and of course His glorious RESURRECTION! :) Even though I've read the beautiful story hundreds of times... this year it was real, fresh and unbelievable, like I was encountering it for the first time. My Savior can move mountains... and He can give me simple fresh encouragement!

My drive to work on Good Friday was a blessing... listening to PlanetShakers I pulled into the parking lot to see this morning sky:
Arriving in my hometown, close to twilight, the sky showed His Glory again! It was the calm before the store... lots of tornado warnings throughout the night.
Easter Sunday in Daddy's garden
Attempting to catch fish... we mostly just caught trees...

I turn my swag on...

Soulja Boy tell 'em...! haha! I spent last Thursday night at his concert at Legion Field with the girls! We sang, we dance, we laughed... it was great! But I'm definintaly glad it was free! Not really sure what the university is thinking spending so much money for  a short concert when they like to make budget cuts and raise tuition...! All the same it was a fun night!!

Wait... I know him!!!

Around 7:30a.m. I jumped on a campus bus to finish my journey to class and looked down at a copy of the Thursday paper only to realize it was ... Adam Nuburn on the front cover of the Red & Black. He is doing a great job raise awareness about his summer adventure. He'll be biking across the U.S.(4,000 miles) to raise money for affordable housing. I'm pumped for him!

This particular Thursday was stunningly beautiful! I ran into several great friends after taking a morning nap on the big stones outside the SLC! Two of them skipped class and we enjoyed the sunshine together!! :) I was given a pop ice on my way to a 2pm class and couldn't have been happier! haha!!

Oh Saturday... hello love!

I absolutely love Saturday afternoons in Athens, especially when I do not have to work! This particular Saturday was filled with sunshine and friends. I met a few friends behind Half Moon to support Adam who will be biking across America this summer to raise money for affordable housing. He was riding his bike stationary behind the shops all day, except for a break for lunch. We went downtown to check out the cultural street fair between 5 Guys and Starbucks. There were some young girls dancing on stage to fun music... Lindsey and Adam couldn't help but join! :) Pizza was next on the agenda and a picnic on North Campus... interrupted by a bubble bee. Chick-fil-a ice cream was a must on such a beautiful day!

My lovely friend Rebekah also came to visit on this day!! We studied at Two Story, cooked spaghetti, watched movies, and went out for a game of spades with Lindsey and Adam!

broken dvd player...

Some nights are just meant to be spent with great friends, popcorn, and wonderful conversation. So many times we hang out on Thursday nights watching TV, surfing on our laptops, and texting (all at the same time.) It was such a blessing to spend the evening with my lovely friends ... just talking :) Love, love them!!
