Elberton shooting

Documentary Photography weekend workshop: Feb. 26,27, & 28, 2010.
We spent a weekend telling stories through pictures! Here are a few images that I made over the weekend! I used some for an audio slide show about Nature's Harmony Farm!

Elberton.

Took a road trip to Elberton over a week ago w/ a classmate. Our Doc. Photog. class is going to be doing stories in Elbert County the last weekend in February. We found our picture in the paper.... "They're coming to SHOOT!" Our 15min. of fame.

This awesome multimedia piece was put together by Tricia Andrews... a graduate of the photo-journalism emphasis that I'm currently in! Love her work... plus these guys are great!

raindrops.

It was cold and rainy here in the classic city today. We learned a little west coast swing in ballroom class today... still don't have it down. Moving on with my day I went to documentary photography... that's when the rain cloud really rolled in... or you could simply call it depression. We went from talking about all the assignments due this semester to horrible car crashes that our professor shot to watching a documentary on a South African photojournalist Kevin Carter. After shooting horrible war photography in Johannesburg, making this picture in Africa,

winning a Pulitzer Prize, and his friends death (fellow photographer who was shot on the job) ... Carter committed suicide. Then there were stories in class that continued to lead us down the depressing route.

Ready for sunshine and spring weather I trudged to the BCM to wait for the bus, which wouldn't be coming for over 30min. Still messy outside my day started to brighten...

a gentleman offered me a ride home
worked on some assignments
ate dinner
rock climbed with KB
practiced our dance
watched the Office with friends
had oreos and peanut butter
