Lost keys

Amy (my cousin), Joe (my brother), and I went on a road trip up the east coast (from NYC - PEI, Canada). On our second day we decided to check out Boston since it was on our way! This wasn't the best idea, b/c cars are inconvenient in the city.
(Joe trying to help us navigate through the city)

We "parked the car in Harvard yard"... ok not really... it was a garage in Cambridge. It was a fun day walking by the Charles, MIT, and exploring Harvard!
(in front of MIT)

Back at the car, we decided to leave it for a little longer and walk 8 blocks to the nearest public library. We used the internet for a few minutes, but had to leave b/c they closed at 5pm. Walking back, we took the track less traveled...

In the garage Amy couldn't find the keys... we dumped our purses out, emptied Joe's pockets, and checked to see if the car was still unlocked. We were almost positive that they weren't in the car, b/c the trunk couldn't be locked without the key.

Rushing, b/c it looked like rain, we retraced our footsteps to the library. There was a very good chance that we'd set the keys down beside the computers, but they were closed so there was no way to get in! We kept walking ... back to the railroad tracks... this time it was pouring down rain and a train came! Back at the car... still no keys....

We called All Star to see what they could do for us! "Is it a walk out?"- All Star Guy. "Sorry, I'm not familiar with that term." -Joe. "A LOCK OUT?!?"- All Star Guy. "OOH, yea..."- Joe. "So are you still with me?"- All Star Guy. "Yes Sir... (Just speak English please!)"- Joe. They came and unlocked the car... but still no keys! The guy that came said there was no way he'd be able to tow the car from its position and b/c it was a front wheel drive.

We finally called the car rental company (Dollar) ... they were very helpful, but told us the only way we could get another key made would be at a car dealership down the road, but the car would have to be there too! We had two problems: The car couldn't be towed from the garage (at least that is what we were told) and the dealership had just closed! We were officially STUCK! So we spent the night in the car in the Kendall Street Parking Garage in Cambridge, MASS. Not quite the adventure we were looking for... but one never the less!

Even though we were a little stressed, we had so much to be thankful for:
1. the weather (not too hot, not too cold... "all you need is a light jacket").
2. the car wasn't facing a wall, but a fence so we could see outside.
3. Dad has All Star.
4. All Star came and unlocked the car for us.
5. the windows weren't automatic.
6. we had a bigger car then we'd originally planned.
7. there were only 3 of us.
8. Amy had gone to Walmart, so we had food.
9. we didn't have to pay for a hotel room.
10. the dealership wasn't open, so we didn't have an extra key made.
11. we didn't have the keys and try and drive through Boston in the rain (b/c it was crazy even without rain).

The next morning we found the keys at the library! :) God answers prayers!
